We make so many mistakes in love.
We break down, we break up, we hardly ever break even.
We preach long sermons to ourselves about how
not this time
not me
not in this situation.
We chase an idea like its the thing that will save us.
Not Heavens ability to take the very plainest thing,
and spin it around new and perfect,
just for us.
What we see is lack.
We see flaws.
We see the places where the heart has been sewn back together
piece, by piece, by piece.
We don’t see the underneath beauty.
And we forget how soul-change amazing true love really is.
Even when its hard.
Even when it hurts.
You know real love when you find it.
Dig deep fairy princess.
Grace will fly on wings,
to show you love that is right before you.
Please have the courage to jump.

“Do you love me, Westley? Is that it?”
He couldn’t believe it.
“Do I love you? My God, if your love were a grain of sand,
mine would be a universe of beaches! If your love were -”
“I don’t understand that first one yet,” Buttercup interrupted.
She was starting to get very excited now.
“Let me get this straight. Are you saying my love is a grain of sand
and yours is this other thing? Images confuse me so -
is this universal business of yours bigger than my sand? Help me, Westley.
I have the feeling we’re on the verge of something just terribly important.”
“I’ve been saying it so long to you, you just wouldn’t listen.
Every time you said ‘Farm Boy do this’ you thought I was answering ‘As you wish’
but that’s only because you were hearing wrong.
‘I love you’ was what it was, but you never heard.”
——The Princess Bride by William Goldman

The fairytale skirt being frolicked about in here
is made by Creole Sha–a New Orleans based eco-couture label
who creates charm out of strips of cloth and wonder out of bits of lace.
It isn’t possible to wear their creations and not feel like a princess.
We pick Creole Sha because their loveliness
renews our belief in magic.

First of all, I ADORE this feature. I clicked over to creole sha before I even saw there was a giveaway and feel head over heels in love with the Chocolate Brown Eco Beanie. My finger is lingering over the Add to Cart button while I deliberate!
Secondly, LOVED the selection from The Princess Bride. *swoon* Y’all are doing an INCREDIBLE job of writing these features. It’s like art + art. I couldn’t be more in love.
Thirdly, I’m a twitter follower.
I follow on FB (OF COURSE I do!).

How do you ladies do it?
How do you write a post that is ultimately advertising a product and yet bring tears from the deep beauty you weave?
I am sitting here with wet cheeks, heart stinging after a conversation laden with misunderstandings and quiet-but-insensitive words. I can literally feel the lump in my throat because this fairy princess is so terribly afraid to love. So scared to jump and trust in the One who always catches us. Protecting ourselves from hurt always backfires and has the very effect we try so hard to avoid.
By grace and grace alone.
Your words were breathed unto you from above. Promise.
Thank you.
